5 Stylish, Office Friendly Outfits

5 Stylish, Office Friendly Outfits - ByEgreis

Spending 5 days a week at the office doesn’t mean you should put your style on hold until the weekend. There are so many options in today’s world for office wear, so don’t limit yourself to just the basics. Professional dress shouldn’t only have to be boring blazers and slacks, life is too short! Here is some inspiration to spice up your weekday wardrobe.

  • Patterned Suits
  • A tailored suit has always been a business professional staple, but can sometimes feel a bit mundane. A great way to stand out in the corporate world is to go for a suit with a pattern such as pinstripes, houndstooth, or even floral. If you live in a colder climate, layering with a high-neck shirt can add some dimension and warmth. You could even swap out your heels for boots if your office allows business casual.

  • Day-to-Night Dress
  • If you’re the type of girl that likes to de-stress after work with the girls downtown, this look is perfect for you. Get yourself a dress that can seamlessly go from day to night! Look out for something that is sophisticated enough for a typical day at the office, but with a fashionable and fun twist. Great options are sweater dresses, sometimes with an asymmetrical hem or a belt to add the perfect shape. Accessorize with some day-to-night pieces or bring a change of shoes and you’re ready to hit the town.

  • Turtle Neck and Pencil Skirt
  • Office attire doesn’t always have to be so structured! Sometimes we want something cozy and more laid back, but still professional. A turtle neck paired with a pencil skirt will accomplish just that. This combo creates a sexy silhouette while also keeping things pretty modest. Sticking to neutral tones will create a more sophisticated look, but if you like to jazz things up you could choose a bright-colored turtleneck or a patterned skirt. Feel free to add your own spin on this look by adding a blazer or a fun pair of shoes as well!

  • Romper or Jumpsuit
  • We have seen rompers and jumpsuits become a staple piece for casual looks and lounwear over the past few seasons. However, nowadays there are many structured versions that will look amazing at the office as well! If a romper is too casual for your office, a long-sleeved jumpsuit is perfect. Not only are they the easiest thing to style (just throw it on and you’re good to go!), but they can also be re-worked by layering with turtlenecks, jackets, etc.

  • Layered Dresses
  • Layering can open up your office wardrobe 10-fold. If you have any dresses that arent necessarily work appropriate, try layering with office-approved items such as a sweater, high-neck shirt, button-up, etc. Making this simple adjustment will put such a unique spin on your everyday corporate look! Don’t forget to add a pair of high boots or stockings if the dress is on the shorter side.

Hope these stylish work looks gave you some inspo!
